Long the standard in blue-leaved Hostas. The rounded leaves measure up to 12in across and 30in tall under good culture, and the gray-green shading on both sides adds greatly to their appeal. The flowers of 'Elegans' are whitish and show in midsummer on 40in stems. Because this graceful beauty tolerates dry shade, we count it among the most valuable garden plants.
