Blue is one of the most desirable and useful colors to be found in flowers because it's pleasing to look at and goes with every other color in the rainbow. We've created an enchanting mixture of blue blooms in a variety of shades from deep azure to soft periwinkle. The flowers appear over a long season that begins in mid-April here in Litchfield and ends in early June. Included are Anemone blanda Blue Shades, Brimeura amethystina (not offered separately), Camassia quamash, Chionodoxa forbesii, Hyacinthoides hispanica 'Blue Queen', Ipheion uniflorum 'Wisley Blue', Iris reticulata 'Harmony', Muscari armeniacum, M. latifolium, and Scilla siberica 'Spring Beauty'. Heights range from 3 to 16in, and most of the bulbs tolerate light shade, so they can be scattered through the woodland garden or used as a complementary underplanting for Daffodils and Tulips. Not labeled. 100 bulbs cover 9–10 sq ft.
