Growing Guide Lobularia Snow Princess™
|
|
Snow Princess™ is a new, long-blooming hybrid with larger flowers than the old-fashioned Sweet Alyssum. Snowballs of honey-scented, tiny white flowers continue to flower from spring until frost because it doesn't set seed. Light/Watering: Sweet Alyssum will flower best in full sun or light shade. It needs a consistently moist soil, so water regularly, especially if grown in a hanging basket or other container. Fertilizer/Soil and pH: Fertilize lightly throughout the growing season. A slightly acid pH of 6.0 to 6.5 is preferred. Pests/Diseases: Snow Princess™ is rarely affected by pests and diseases. Protect from slugs if they are a problem. Companions: Snow Princess™ is perfect partnered with other annuals such as Lobelia, Verbena, or Calibrachoa. Also makes a lovely annual ground cover for Roses, or over the roots of Clematis. Reflowering: Snow Princess™ will reflower after pinching, but pinching is only necessary to shape the plant, since this cultivar does not set seed.
