Our fondness for Tuberous Begonias is well known, but we also grow and love other representatives of this diverse genus. Dragon Wing® Pink is part of a heat-tolerant series and has wing-like, glossy green leaves. It's an excellent companion, in containers and hanging baskets, for other annuals. Perennial in Zone 10.

Begonias are warm-climate plants from a huge genus. Some varieties throw large, lush flowers in vibrant colors, others (such as Rex Begonias) make their statements with beautifully patterned foliage, and the best recent introductions offer compelling fragrance as well. All Begonias want good drainage and moderate temperatures. While these plants have traditionally been treasured for use in shady or low-light situations, many newer cultivars offer the same performance in full sun. Use these remarkably varied and beautiful plants in garden beds and containers.

The size of the plants we ship has been selected to reduce the shock of transplanting. For some, this means a large, bareroot crown. Others cannot travel bareroot or transplant best if grown in containers. We ship these perennials and annuals in 1 pint pots, except as noted. We must point out that many perennials will not bloom the first year after planting, but will the following year, amply rewarding your patience. We ship bulbs as dormant, bare bulbs, sometimes with some wood shavings or moss. Shrubs, Roses, vines, and other woody plants may be shipped bareroot or in pots. The size of the pot is noted in the quick facts for each item.

We ship our bulbs and plants at the right time for planting in your area, except as noted, with orders dispatched on a first-come, first-served basis by climate zone. We also ship a wide range of containers and planters, tools, supplies, fertilizers, garden wear, garden decor items, as well as indoor decorations like wreaths and dried bouquets when available. Estimated dates for shipping are indicated in the green Shipping Details box for each item. Please supply a street address for delivery. Kindly contact us with two weeks notice, if you'll be away at the expected time of delivery.

We guarantee to ship plants that are in prime condition for growing. If your order is damaged or fails to meet your expectations, we will cheerfully replace or refund it. Please contact our Customer Service Department at 1-800-503-9624 or email us at [email protected]. Please include your order number or customer number when contacting us.

I have purchased several items over several years and never had a problem with the condition of plants received until now. I had ordered a Pink Dragon Begonia along with another plant, and it arrived today totally demolished. I was very surprised as I’ve ordered this same plant several times before with no problem. This is a fairly delicate plant and really wasn’t packaged well with that in mind.

Beautiful Long Lasting Blooms

This was my first purchase from White Flower Farm. I placed the Dragon Wing Begonias in a container on my apartment balcony. The flowers bloomed all summer and into the fall with Atlanta's heat and humidity. I purchased the All-Bloom fertilizer to keep them healthy and strong. Very easy to take care of. Very satisfied with my purchase!

Tough and beautiful

These plants bloomed non stop all summer. They were among the last flowers hanging on in mid-fall, until eventually the deer got desperate and ate them. I had them in various pots and for me they thrived equally in full sun, part shade, and mostly shade. I wasn't very consistent with watering, and I don't think I fertilized at all, but it didn't seem to bother these begonia at all. I will definitely use these again!

Nice plants, but UPS destroyed them!

The plants sent appeared to have been fine specimens when shipped. It'a a real shame that the packaging and UPS managed to destroy them and my plans for them.

Beautiful performers

These are wonderful annuals that bloom from Spring to the first frost. They require little care. I use them as part of my plantings every year!

Latin Name Pronunciation: beg-own'ee-uh

Fibrous Begonias are a diverse group known for their colorful flowers, compact shape, and rounded green, bronze, or variegated leaves. Native to tropical and subtropical regions, they are grown as annuals in cooler areas where they are not hardy. A widely popular bedding and container plant, fibrous Begonias provide a continuous display of color throughout the growing season. With no deadheading of spent blooms required, these Begonias are low maintenance plants making them carefree and well adapted to a variety of garden settings.

Light/Watering: Fibrous Begonias flower well in partial shade to full sun. Bronze-leaved varieties are more suited to full sun. Water moderately once or twice a week during the warmer season.

Fertilizer/Soil and pH: Plant in well-drained soil high in organic matter. Use an all-purpose fertilizer for annuals monthly during the warmer season.

Pests/Diseases: Fibrous Begonias can occasionally be troubled by slugs. Use slug bait, dishes of beer, and diatomaceous earth to discourage them.

Companions: An exceptional container plant, fibrous Begonias pair well with colorful foliage plants such as Caladium, Coleus, and Ipomoea. Or combine in mass plantings with Impatiens and Fuchsia in the garden.

End-of-Season Care: Can be brought indoors in winter in cold climates, and kept in a sunny window.
