It doesn't get any easier than this Sedum Tile® Color Splash. Each "tile" is approximately 10" x 20" and includes a selection of varieties chosen for their harmonious colors and contrasting forms. For a 50 sq ft bed, we recommend using 12 tiles planted 12" apart from each other, and within a couple of years plants will fill in nicely. Ready-made for gardens, rooftops, and containers.
This large genus of fleshy-leaved plants is found in mountains throughout the Northern Hemisphere (a few of the 400 species live in the drier parts of South America). Sedum prefer well-drained soil with a pH close to neutral (7.0) and can thrive with just a modest level of nutrients. Some spread quickly and may become pests—we do not offer any of those. Many fascinating and colorful forms are invaluable for the rock garden. A few can be included in the perennial border.

HOW PLANTS ARE SHIPPED
The size of the plants we ship has been selected to reduce the shock of transplanting. For some, this means a large, bareroot crown. Others cannot travel bareroot or transplant best if grown in containers. We ship these perennials and annuals in 1 pint pots, except as noted. We must point out that many perennials will not bloom the first year after planting, but will the following year, amply rewarding your patience. We ship bulbs as dormant, bare bulbs, sometimes with some wood shavings or moss. Shrubs, Roses, vines, and other woody plants may be shipped bareroot or in pots. The size of the pot is noted in the quick facts for each item.
WHEN WE SHIP
We ship our bulbs and plants at the right time for planting in your area, except as noted, with orders dispatched on a first-come, first-served basis by climate zone. We also ship a wide range of containers and planters, tools, supplies, fertilizers, garden wear, garden decor items, as well as indoor decorations like wreaths and dried bouquets when available. Estimated dates for shipping are indicated in the green Shipping Details box for each item. Please supply a street address for delivery. Kindly contact us with two weeks notice, if you'll be away at the expected time of delivery.

Affordable and easy solution.

Anyway, I bought 2 tiles. About a week and a half later, they arrived. They were boxed up very nicely, and looked okay.....in a dormant state. I cut them up into strips and some squares. I have a rocked area on both sides of my front entry steps. One side has live bushes, but the other side had dead bushes that I cut down to the big branches. This area and the other side with live bushes gets really full of weeds all summer long. I needed something that would grow and take over these areas so I don't have to weed them anymore. It couldn't have been any easier. I think if there was anything I could nitpick on, it would be that these tiles were boxed up tighter than a vault at a bank, and when I did get them unboxed, cutting them took entirely way more time than I thought it would take. This coconut fiber material that these mats are made of were very difficult to cut through.......I had 3 very sharp scissors/ pruners I was using. So - unboxing, cutting them up, prepped various areas with manure compost, watered, laid them down, put manure compost around them and watered again......it was about 2 hours worth of work. But I'm slower than most. All in all, best option for what I needed and for the price......and for the most part very easy. I planted these about a week ago. I'm excited to see what happens in the next 4 to 6 weeks!
Couldn't have been better

The delivery time was excellent and the packaging more than appropriate. There was no damage to be seen in any of the three tiles I ordered. Planting was easy and I have now had them for about a week and there doesn't appear to be any transplant shock. The only hard part is cutting the coco mat but even that wasn't too bad. YES you should buy these. NOW.

Sedums and Hylotelephiums are succulent plants known for their drought tolerance and ease of care, often found in rock gardens and borders. Commonly called stonecrops, both typically have thick, fleshy leaves and produce clusters of small, star-shaped flowers; they thrive in well-drained soils and full sun. Hylotelephiums, previously classified under Sedum, include species like 'Autumn Joy'. Both genera are excellent for attracting pollinators, with their flowers providing a valuable nectar source for bees and butterflies.
Upright forms: Plant in full sun (or partial shade in the South) in average, well-drained soil. The dried flower heads of many varieties remain attractive in winter, whether left standing in the garden or brought indoors. Mature plants may require staking. Plants will be more compact if the tips of new spring growth are pinched back by ⅓ when the stems are 4–6″ tall.

Low-growing forms: These colorful, vigorous, but well-behaved ground covers are perfect for decorating openings between stones in a path or wall, and invaluable for rock gardens and troughs. They have the same growing needs as the upright forms, thriving with little care and moisture.
Sedum Tile® is a blend of Sedums grown on a coconut fiber mat for gardens, rooftops, and containers. They are easy to install—simply place the tiles 12" apart from each other over 2–3" of damp soil, firm down, and water thoroughly. For growing in containers, simply cut the coconut fiber to fit your container and plant the tiles over 2–3" of damp soil, firm down, and water thoroughly.
