This is a genus of Daisy-like flowers that contains at least 50 species, most of them European and all of them shades of yellow. It's a crowd of showy sun lovers, many of which have long seasons of bloom. So, if you like yellow, and you like Daisies, you are in the right place.
The stunning species we offer is Asian, and its particular value is the warm, almost orangey yellow of its shaggy, 5″ blooms. Plants grow to 30″ and throw straight, unbranched flower stems that are perfect for cutting. Bloom begins in June, continues through July with occasional rebloom in fall. This is a fine color with the silver foliage of Artemisia or with pale blue Japanese Iris. Plants thrive in full sun and well-drained garden soil that never dries out completely. They don't appreciate the warm, muggy nights of the Deep South.

HOW PLANTS ARE SHIPPED
The size of the plants we ship has been selected to reduce the shock of transplanting. For some, this means a large, bareroot crown. Others cannot travel bareroot or transplant best if grown in containers. We ship these perennials and annuals in 1 pint pots, except as noted. We must point out that many perennials will not bloom the first year after planting, but will the following year, amply rewarding your patience. We ship bulbs as dormant, bare bulbs, sometimes with some wood shavings or moss. Shrubs, Roses, vines, and other woody plants may be shipped bareroot or in pots. The size of the pot is noted in the quick facts for each item.
