Tomato Aunt Ruby\'s German Green

Tomato Aunt Ruby's German Green

Sweet and juicy, with a bit of spice, describes the flavor of this German family heirloom named for Ruby Arnold of Greeneville, TN. The large, 12-16oz fruits are beefsteak types, slightly flattened; they ripen pale green with a pink blush on the blossom end. In salads, the bright green flesh of 'Aunt Ruby's German Green' partners brilliantly with slices of red, yellow, and orange varieties. When fried, they're sublime. Indeterminate, ripening in 85 days from transplant. For information on growing Tomatoes, click on "Growing Guide & Tips".

Our stocky seedlings are grown and shipped in 3in pots that are a full 4in deep, so the plants you receive have strong, well-developed root systems. Full instructions for planting and care included.
