Product Details
The traditions of a Scandinavian Christmas are the inspiration for this delightful tabletop tree. The live dwarf Alberta Spruce is festooned with straw ornaments in the shapes of reindeer, angels, snowflakes, and hearts. Clusters of red faux berries, a raffia garland, and festive balls the color of snow all look just right in a 7½" wide x 8" tall red metal snowflake cachepot. The tree arrives pre-strung with white LED lights, batteries included.
To keep your tree looking its best, place it in a cool area away from direct sunlight. Full instructions for care included (gardeners in Zones 3–7 may wish to give their dwarf tree a permanent location outside in spring). Approximately 24-28″ tall, including pot. Batteries included.
Our trees are shipped fully decorated. If some of the ornaments come off during transit, simply hang them back on and enjoy trimming your holiday tree.
Since our wreaths are made to order, please allow 5-9 business days for delivery. The order will be shipped by UPS.

HOW PLANTS ARE SHIPPED
The size of the plants we ship has been selected to reduce the shock of transplanting. For some, this means a large, bareroot crown. Others cannot travel bareroot or transplant best if grown in containers. We ship these perennials and annuals in 1 pint pots, except as noted. We must point out that many perennials will not bloom the first year after planting, but will the following year, amply rewarding your patience. We ship bulbs as dormant, bare bulbs, sometimes with some wood shavings or moss. Shrubs, Roses, vines, and other woody plants may be shipped bareroot or in pots. The size of the pot is noted in the quick facts for each item.
WHEN WE SHIP
We ship our bulbs and plants at the right time for planting in your area, except as noted, with orders dispatched on a first-come, first-served basis by climate zone. We also ship a wide range of containers and planters, tools, supplies, fertilizers, garden wear, garden decor items, as well as indoor decorations like wreaths and dried bouquets when available. Estimated dates for shipping are indicated in the green Shipping Details box for each item. Please supply a street address for delivery. Kindly contact us with two weeks notice, if you'll be away at the expected time of delivery.

Unpacking and Setting Up Your Tree: Stand the box upright, grab the pot by the rim, and pull the tree, along with the cardboard packaging, out of the box. Remove and discard the cardboard packaging. Choose a location for your tree that is away from heat sources such as wood stoves and radiators.
Caring during the Holidays: Your tree is a young evergreen that is alive and healthy. It is shipped in a dormant state and therefore requires little attention during the holidays, apart from occasional watering. We recommend placing it in a cool room (where the temperature does not rise much above 65°F) and checking the soil mix frequently with your finger. If the mix feels dry 1/2” below the surface, water thoroughly. Do not allow the pot to sit in water inside the plastic-lined basket. The best way to water is to lift the pot from the basket, water the tree at the sink, then return it to the basket after the excess water has drained away. Avoid watering the battery pack if you received a tree decorated with a string of lights. Because it is dormant, your tree should not be fertilized. For the Living Stars Tabletop Tree, spritz the Air Plants lightly 2 or 3 times with a plant mister once a week.
Please note: Our slow-growing trees are best treated as seasonal plants and discarded after the holidays. However, with some care they can be maintained over the winter and planted out in spring in their hardiness zones. The dwarf Alberta Spruce is hardy in Zones 3-7, the Holiday Accent Tree in Zones 5-6, and the Japanese Holly in Zones 6-9. If you live in these zones, you can move the tree to a place where it will receive bright light but no direct sun and the temperatures are between 35-50°F, continue watering as above, and plant it outside in the spring as soon as the soil can be worked. Choose a site in full sun with average, well-drained soil. Dig a hole deep enough to accommodate the roots, then turn the pot upside down and tap the bottom to remove the tree. Place your tree in the hole so the top of the root ball is level with the soil line and fill in around the roots with soil. Press the soil to firm and water thoroughly.
